Market Situation

Production Industry:

The Media Production Sector has been severely affected by the recent pandemic. Worldwide production closed down right from the beginning, in order to comply with the new social distancing norms.

In early March 2020 , it was predicted that the global box office could lose  US$5 billion as a result of the pandemic. This amount could skyrocket to between US$15 billion and US$17 billion, if cinemas did not reopen by the end of May 2020 (which they haven’t).

 The Chinese film industry lost

US$4,6 billion by June 2020.

The resulting lack of content in the pipeline is extremely dangerous for content platforms, which need to maintain the interest and attention of viewers.

When the pandemic comes to an expected end around Q4/2021, production will  ramp up again.

Huge content gaps must be closed to meet the needs of cinemas, TV – Stations and Streaming – Platforms.

Welt der Wunder is a specialist in high-quality fact-based entertainment and edutainmen formats, and will enter the market in Fall 2021 with a package of five high-quality series with 26 episodes each.

“Huge content gaps must be closed to meet the needs of cinemas, TV –   Stations and Streaming Platforms.”

ILO Structure

The budget of the planned program package amounts to €25Million. Expected turnover amounts to at least €75Million in three years. A minimum sales multiple of 3x is assumed.

However, sales multiples of up to 10x are possible. Customers are all global Streaming and Video-on-Demand Platforms, and all global TV Stations.

The programming is positioned in the valuable area of family entertainment.

The offer amounts to 10% revenue share for each ILO partner. After three years, Welt der Wunder TV offers a buyback guarantee related to the issue price of €25Million.

However, Welt der Wunder TV does not only act as a content producer: Through its own TV stations, Welt der Wunder is also a relevant licensee. For German-language TV rights alone, Welt der Wunder TV participates with a license sum of €10Million. This already corresponds to about 40% of the total budget.
In addition, Welt der Wunder TV secures the planned productions with a default guarantee. If the planned turnover is below the output value of €25Million, Welt der Wunder TV will make up the shortfall.   This creates the highest level of security for each license partner.

Future Step's

Welt der Wunder is the developer and producer of these productions and delivers the concept, infrastructure and logistics. Welt der Wunder assumes exclusive international distribution of the program package, and brings in their global network along with its sales platform.
